My name is Rhianna. I am 3 years old. I have been using computers all my life. I spent hours on my daddy's lap before I could walk or crawl just typing on the computers keys at random. Then later daddy bought me some "lapware" which is computer programs that are sort of intended for babies to use while in someone's lap. I spent a lot of my first year of life on my daddy's lap in front of a computer. Then daddy got me some Fisher-Price learning game software. I used that when I was 1 and 2 to learn to use my compter mouse properly.
I had a kids laptop bought at Radioshack for a while, but it was so easy I got bored with it. Then for Christmas of 1999 my daddy got me a "real" computer, just like his! Except I like my Winnie the Pooh keyboard better. I picked it out myself. I now have dozens of learning software games. I have Winnie the Pooh, Blue's Clues, Reader Rabbit, Little Bear, Barney and dozens of others. When I get real good at one level, daddy buys me more that are at a more difficult level. I am presently working in difficulty ranges between kindergarten and first grade. I love my computer and spend several hours a day playing my learning games.
My mommy is very proud of me. She thinks I am doing just great. She thinks I represent the way all children will one day be schooled at home. When I have learned a lot more I will try some internet schools. I am learning to read. I love bedtime story time. I can type my own name in my computer all by myself and I know to capitalize the "R" in Rhianna. I also know how to load and unload my game cd's all by myself, and I know how to follow program storage pathways. I know how to reboot the system when it hangs up and I know my password and when and where to type it in when the roboot gets to that part.
I rebooted my daddy's system one day when he was out of the computer room.(giggle) That was because I like to hear the thunder and lighting sound when the new operating system loads. (whee!) I know all my abc's. I can count consistently to 10 and almost to 20 but sometimes I rush through the teens and get mixed up. My daddy is teaching me to spell by changing his password for his reboots and letting me type it in everytime. I LOVE helping my daddy program!
My favorite shows are Blue's Clues, Barney, Scooby Doo, Little Bear and Winnie the Pooh. My favorite activities are using my computer or anything to do with water, like swimming or using water colors or washing my dolls.
